Pre-emergence herbicide for the control of annual broadleaf and grassy weeds. During weed germination, it is absorbed by the hypocotyl, cotyledons or coleoptile in grasses and the weeds die a few days later. It acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of carotenoids. It acts mainly on the shoots, which are more sensitive to young weeds that have recently sprouted or are in rapid growth. After its application, the weeds show bleaching and chlorosis of the young shoot as it develops.
